Let's hear it for the boy

One of the best things about being married to a guy with the mind of an engineer and an obsession with Consumer Reports is this: He has agreed to take charge of all the baby-product research and purchase decisions. There's an overwhelming amount of information and advertising out there and I'm just happy he's willing to wade through it. What a man.

Also, good news: The doctor just called and said my "prenatal panel" came back completely normal. I'm still not sure what all was tested, but normal is good.

Before long, your pants will have "prenatal panels" too. ;)

That's impressive, but just wait till you see the pre-natal IQ results, not to mention pre-natal athletic scores. I expect Baby Kirby to score in track, tennis, soccer, and basketball.

Rachel - nice! :)

Dad - sweet ... you're already seeing our baby through a biased granddaddy lens ... but I hope you're right!

Hey, this is really for Matt, but my Mom bought me "Baby Bargains" which is a great book that summarizes all the major (and some minor) baby purchases, how they rate on consumer reports vs. price, etc. I've used it a lot and like to read it before a big purchase. Good luck! It's a huge baby economy out there.

Ah! I love that Sallie recommended Baby Bargains. That was exactly what I was going to say! I think you might have told me that Carrie had a copy? But if not - you're welcome to mine.

You're also welcome to ALLLLLL my hand-me-downs (which I'm pretty sure you already assumed).

Sallie and Lib, I'm glad y'all left these comments because I thought the book you both had told me about was "Best Baby Products" (also published by Consumer Reports), which is the one I borrowed from Carrie. I definitely have to get my hands -- well, Matt's hands -- on a copy of "Baby Bargains"! Thanks for the info!

Be sure to take my Baby Bargains next time you come to CLT.

I'll bring my copy to our get together on the 3rd (Baby Bargains) so don't buy one! :)
